Summary

The NCHELP Private Loan Committee tracks the private education loan market by gathering statistics and projecting trends, monitors consumer credit legislative and regulatory activities, gathers information on state consumer credit laws and research data from such sources at the FTC, FDIC, and the Federal Reserve, and assists the Regulations Committee in providing training on private loans to NCHELP members.  The Private Loan Committee also works with national banking associations such as the CBA, ABA and credit union associations to stay abreast of issues impacting the private loan market.
